HULU TERENGGANU, May 23 - Residents in the area are advised to comply with the National Security Council's (SOP) standard operating procedure (SOP) to curb the transmission of COVID-19.
Hulu Terengganu district police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Adli Mat Daud said the police had eight patrols to monitor the movement of people in compliance with social detention, on business premises or places of worship including in their homes.
Obviously, the police will ensure that those who celebrate Hari Raya do not violate the SOP on the first day of Aidilfitri and monitoring will begin today.
"We will not hesitate to take action against those who violate the 20-person limit for one home
"Police will patrol during Hari Raya in each area. If there are many vehicles outside the house, they will check the residence to determine the number of guests.
"If there are many vehicles, there are likely to be many people in the house, and the police will investigate further, if they violate the SOP then a compound action will be imposed on the host for RM1,000," he said when contacted by Darul Iman Information Secretariat today. Here.
He added that inspections were also conducted in the parking area of the vehicle from the outside to ensure that the owner had a state-issued permit.
According to Mohd Adli, he would also conduct inspections of firecrackers during Aidilfitri to prevent any unwanted incidents.
