KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu FC (TFC) midfielder Sharin Sapien has expressed his desire to regain his jersey in the Malaysian League (M) competition this season after a long break due to serious injury.
However, the 26-year-old will have to wait for the 'green light' from the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health whether the league resumes or not after the competition was postponed on March 16 following a COVID-19 pandemic.
"I am currently training at home after recovering from a knee injury. Besides, I also ride my bike if I have time left after the government allows this sport to be performed outside to improve fitness.
"It is my hope that the league will be resumed in accordance with the proposal of the Malaysian Football League (MFL), which intends to continue to compete next September 1 for a month.
After all, the legs are fluttering for kicking the ball and instead of getting tired of just practicing on their own.
"While training on the field, in addition to participating in a coach-led training program, I can also do additional training with Uzbekistan Import player Sanjar Shaakhmedov who shares his knowledge," he said.
This season the former T-Team has not made any appearances with his squad after struggling for two months with a knee injury. As for the league rivals who will only get through the first round with seven games remaining, Sharin admits he is not satisfied.
